THE BRIEF: To contemporise the brandmark for the Estate while still paying homage to the heritage and tradition of the establishment. Alongside the master brand two new wine labels had to be designed to inject some modernity into the winery and appeal to a broader audience, specifically the younger generation in the competitive space of wine. The brief was to play in the modern, vibrant, art form world of wine labels.
THE SOLUTION: Celebrating the significant history of Arundel Farm Estate, Griffin Grace still drew from the aesthetic of the historic homestead which was built in 1850. The house is an important piece of history which tells the rich backstory of the winery. Griffin Grace refreshed the illustration with simple linework and placed it within the brand lock up, creating a stamp device to portray quality and craftsmanship. The new labels were created in watercolour against silhouettes to be an expressive and colourful depiction of the valley and landscape around the winery, injecting both excitement and modernity to the range.
